About the Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced individual to join the Infrastructure Team as Civil Operations Technical Officer.

Reporting to the Civil Operations Team Leader, you will operate across multi-disciplinary teams and will be  responsible for the supervision and coordination of services and provide specialist knowledge, skills in civil infrastructure and minor works project delivery, and a high-level customer service by contributing to the planning, programming, and maintenance of Council assets in ensuring the City of Palmerston is 'A Place for People', in line with the vision of the Community Plan. 

Additionally, you will undertake operational and maintenance activities for civil infrastructure assets, including contractor management, program development, customer service, inspections, and stakeholder engagement.

About You

We are looking for a person that will be a part of a dynamic team with demonstrated strong judgment and problem-solving skills to gather and analyse complex information, ability to make timely decisions and communicate outcomes effectively and be able to engage with multiple stakeholders and provide a high level of customer service and demonstrated knowledge in interpretation and application of technical drawings, Australian Standards and guidelines relating to civil infrastructure works.
