About the Role

The Private Works Engineer will ensure development and private works are efficiently delivered with legislative, industry and budgetary requirements being complied with and in the best interest of Council and importantly, our Community.  

Working with the Development Lead, the Private Works Engineer is responsible for the coordination of a range of programs and services that contribute to the delivery of the City of Palmerston Community Plan including:

• Subdivision and development
• Coordination of works by others (i.e. works permits)
• Capital works
• Civil maintenance and operations
• Contractor coordination
• Road safety and traffic management 

 

What you need:

We are looking for a team player with high level energy, enthusiasm, flexibility and determination to achieve objectives within a range of competing demands. With Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or Project Management coupled with practical working experience, the successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across the organisation.
