This position is a full-time, 3-year opportunity within our Finance and Governance Team, classified as Level 3 ($71,075.47  - $75,008.30) within our City of Palmerston Enterprise Agreement 2020. You will have six weeks annual leave, salary continuance insurance, discounted health insurance, vehicle salary packaging options plus many more attractive employee benefits. About the opportunity    

You will contribute your knowledge and expertise to the finance team, helping to achieve a dynamic, change ready and positive organisation that delivers on the Community Plan and ensures the integrity of Council.  As part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary organisation; you will help to deliver and coordinate activities using modern and innovative methods, with consideration of public implications. You will foster and help support a culture of continuous improvement with a key focus on developing capabilities, skills, agility and accountability, whilst being a part of a versatile team that safeguards the financial integrity of Council and excels in the delivery of our customers' experience.

This position will build and maintain a customer ethos of "people are at the centre of all we do and deliver."

We are looking for a team player with previous study in a relevant field, a customer centric focus and proven organisational skills.  The successful applicant will have the ability to identify operational problems or trends, question practices and contribute to the implementation of appropriate solutions in an innovative and resourceful manner.  They will also have highly developed and efficient computer skills, particularly in the use of rating and corporate management information systems.  This role reports to the Senior Rates Officer and we look forward to welcoming a new member to our finance team.
