About the opportunity    

As a member of the People and Customer team, the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner will positively contribute to the delivery of professional occupational health and safety advice and support the organisation in the following areas:

  • Developing and implementing Policies and Procedures including consultation with stakeholders
  • Delivering WHS Training
  • Reporting on WHS Trends
  • Providing support and guidance to the WHS Committee
  • Building and embedding the safety culture across City of Palmerston

The role will promote and exemplify Council’s vision to meet community expectations, deliver organisational key performance indicators and maintain accountabilities in line with the Community Plan and customer charter.

We are looking for a safety professional with previous experience working in a consultative and collaborative role. The ability to develop and maintain positive working and culturally sensitive relationships with all stakeholders is a must. If you are abreast of safety legislation and well organised, agile and a customer experience focused team member who is committed to your own professional development we would love to hear from you.
